February 1 is Souper Bowl Sunday! In 1990, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group, “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” In the past twenty-five years, the Souper Bowl of Caring has raised more than $100 million for local charities across the country, transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving. February 2 is “Souper Bowl” Sunday! You’re invited to join the “Souper Bowl of Caring” this Sunday and Tackle Hunger. Bring a can of soup (or any non perishable food item) to church. Cash donations will also be accepted. All food items and money collected at FPC will go locally to Community Health Ministry.
