FPC’s Fellowship Hall was the site of this year’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Wamego. Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings was served from noon to 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 26.
The meal is organized annually by the Wamego Council of Churches. Member churches take turns hosting the dinner. While FPC provided this year’s site, food was also donated and served by congregation members from Trinity Baptist Church, St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wamego First United Methodist Church, Cross Point Community Church, New Life, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Everyone in the community was welcome to attend. The dinner was free of charge. However, a free will offering was accepted for those wanting to make a donation.
Terri Hollenbeck, chair of FPC’s Mission Committee, was coordinator of this year’s dinner.
