The results are in! *1,137 groups participated in the 2015 Souper Bowl of Caring in the United States *Over $820,000 was raised in cash and food items by these groups this year and 100% of these funds were donated to their local charities.
FPC was one of the 1,137 across the nation…..collecting dozens of cans and over $125 in cash yesterday to benefit the food pantry at CHM.
The ladies of PYG Rock, assisted by Pastor Bill, performed a skit before the worship service to inform and inspire the congregation to donate. Following worship, they volunteered to hold pans and pots to collect donations.
The Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990 with a vision of “transforming the time around the Super Bowl into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.” Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Souper Bowl of Caring has collected over $100 million in donations since its creation.
Thank you to everyone at FPC that joined with our youth and participated in this year’s collection!
